Minister Harichandan stresses need for strongest road network as centre allocates record ₹14,000 crore for Odisha highways

HIGHLIGHTING the pivotal role of infrastructure in Odisha's development journey, Minister of Works, Law and Excise Prithviraj Harichandan emphasized on Thursday that “creating the best and strongest road network in the state” is essential to achieving the vision of a “Viksit Odisha@2036.”
Chairing a high-level review meeting here, Harichandan underlined the importance of leveraging the Central Government's record allocation of Rs 14,000 crore for highway development in the state this year.
“This is a historic commitment from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to the people of Odisha. It reflects their unwavering dedication to transforming Odisha’s road infrastructure,” he said.
