Stresses justice system to evolve in step with the digital age
"JUSTICE must be swift, smart and seamless," said Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, as he chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan on Wednesday to assess the implementation of the country's newly enacted criminal laws.
Highlighting the transformative potential of technology, the Chief Minister placed special emphasis on systems like e-FIR, e-summons, and e-witness to make justice delivery faster and more efficient. He also proposed the integration of key institutions — jails, hospitals, forensic labs, and courts — through video conferencing to simplify and speed up investigations and testimonies.
