Excise SI caught red-handed taking bribe in Khordha

IN a major crack-down on corruption, Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested Sub Inspector Amarendra Satapathy, In-charge of Tangi Excise Station in Khordha district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000.
According to an official release, Satapathy was caught red-handed receiving the bribe from a licensed liquor vendor. The Excise SI had reportedly been demanding the amount on a monthly basis in exchange for turning a blind eye to the vendor’s business operations and ensuring no official ac
