There’s a four-way tie for first place in the PBA Philippine Cup standings and three of the deadlocked teams are seeing action at the Ynares Center, Montalban, today with the aim of solidifying their hold of a twice-to-beat advantage at the start of the playoffs.

The top four finishers of the single-round eliminations gain a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals. The last four placers will take an early vacation. At the moment, the top four placers - now qualified for the quarterfinals - are Converge, San Miguel Beer, NLEX and Rain or Shine with identical 6-2 records. The FiberXers are No. 1 in points differential at +87. SMB is No. 2 at +77, NLEX No. 3 at +9 and ROS No. 4 at +8. The Road Warriors take on Magnolia (5-3) in today’s first game while Converge and ROS will battle to stay at the top in the nightcap.
