STI profit surges as enrollment hits all-time high

STI Education Systems Holdings Inc., owner of the country’s largest network of private schools, saw earnings surge during its fiscal year ending June 30 as enrollment reached an all-time high.
STI Holdings, which is chaired by businessman Eusebio Tanco, reported a 38-percent jump in net income to P2.22 billion from P1.61 billion a year ago.
Revenues rose by 18 percent to P5.6 billion from P4.7 billion as a result of a 15-percent increase in total enrollment across its network.
STI Holdings' financial year aligns with its academic calendar, which begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year.
Total enrollment for school year 2024-2025 grew to 138,060 from 119,543 students the previous school year.
