Startup Airline Enters Phl, to Start Services in Clark

An airline that aims to provide fleet support to domestic carriers has secured a temporary permit to operate in the Philippines, allowing it to commence services in Clark starting November.
Startup carrier Avion Express Philippines plans to begin operations at the Clark International Airport by November after receiving a temporary operating permit (TOP) from the government.
The TOP, issued by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), gives Avion the provisional authority to offer its aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) services in the Philippines.
Avion is obtaining a certificate of public convenience and necessity from CAB, as well as an air operator certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. The airline has to secure these approvals to make its operations permanent.
