PEZA, TESDA to launch AI tech academy in Cebu

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the private sector are set to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tech Academy in Cebu next month to prepare ecozone workers for new technologies.
Speaking at the Arangkada Philippines Investment Forum 2025, PEZA deputy director general Maria Veronica Magsino said that the investment promotion agency is working with the TESDA for the PEZA AI Tech Academy “to equip ecozone workers and businesses with essential digital skills including generative AI.”
“This is scheduled for launching in October this year,” PEZA director general Tereso Panga said in a Viber message.
