The leadership of opposition Liberal Party (LP) said it fully respects the decision of former vice president Leni Robredo not to seek a Senate seat in the 2025 elections.
Robredo, in an interview in Naga City on Friday, closed her doors on a Senate run, saying she prefers to run for mayor in next year's polls.
"The Liberal Party stands behind former vice president Robredo and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors," the party said in a statement.
