How Maki Comes Up With Color-themed Anthems

This will be in full display in his album, titled "Kolorcoaster," which is coming soon.

"Maybe it's because of my adoration for the arts in general," explained the young artist of his color-themed singles during the launch event of the official music video for Bughaw.

"Visual arts is my first love. At that time when I first wrote Dilaw, that was the first time I told myself like, 'OK na ko... Sad boy.'

"But this time, I asked, can I really make a love song? I don't have a crush. Wala naman akong kahit na ano, but the song Dilaw naturally spoke to me. And I just saw myself writing."

Maki was also surprised by how the track turned out and eventually became a hit.

"It also speaks a lot about the experiences I was going through at that time. I said to myself, I will write a song about self-healing — about how I saw a world where the colors were fading, and how one color can also change everything in the blink of an eye... I was very happy with that thought."
