There’s something magical about the holidays when they’re shared across generations. For me, that magic came in the form of Doraemon — the blue, time-traveling cat I first discovered through my now 28-year-old son, who couldn't get enough of Nobita’s adventures. This year, Mitsukoshi brings that same warmth and nostalgia to life, turning its Christmas tree and entire mall into a celebration of family, friendship, and timeless stories.

A giant Doraemon inflatable greets guests outside the mall. Doraemon and friends spread holiday cheer at Mitsukoshi BGC, reminding everyone that the greatest gifts are friendship, family, and a little bit of magic.

Glowing with lights and charm straight out of a nostalgic manga panel, Mitsukoshi’s Christmas tree shines with refined elegance and a touch of whimsy, blending modern design with beloved nostalgia. Featuring soft blue hues, gleaming silver accents, and charming Doraemon motifs, the centerpiece captures the harmony between Japanese sophistication and the universal warmth of the holidays.

Even before stepping inside, the season’s cheer is impossible to miss. Outside the mall, Mitsuko — the iconic kokeshi doll — welcomes guests in cozy winter wear, hinting at the festive experience waiting within. Playful Doraemon touches are scattered throughout, offering Instagram-worthy moments at every corner. Above it all, The Seasons Residences, a four-tower Japanese-inspired condominium, extends the spirit of Japanese artistry, with Mitsukoshi BGC at its podium providing a seamless blend of convenience and culture.
