The Philippines goes hand-in-hand with Nigeria in ensuring mutual progress

Sixty-two years. This is how long the Philippines and Nigeria have nurtured their bilateral relationship. Although their friendship has reached the age of seniority, it continues to display the same vitality it did in 1962.

The two countries remain headstrong in providing quality public service. This year, they are going beyond borders to uplift each other ’s economy through several trade and people-to-people partnerships.

Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria Mersole Mellejor said at a press conference in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, “The Philippines and Nigeria are in the process of concluding more, all aimed to generate concrete mutually beneficial outcomes.”

Many Filipinos abroad stand out for their unyielding dedication and skills in various fi elds.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are sought-after in the oil and industrial states, factories, and most importantly, in the service sector.
