March 09, 2025

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned of possible floods and landslides in parts of Luzon due to the combined effects of the shear line and northeast monsoon.

- By CHRISTINE BOTON

This weather system is expected to bring heavy rains, which may lead to flooding and landslides in Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera region and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Camarines Norte.

Residents in these areas are advised to stay vigilant and prepare for potential disasters, especially if the rains persist.

In Palawan, the easterlies from the Pacific Ocean may cause rains and possible flooding.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience fair weather in the morning and afternoon, with brief rain showers and thunderstorms later in the day.
