"I am grateful for the cash assistance and rehabilitation services from the ECC, especially for the help in repairing my leg," Bernie Abarsolo, a former construction worker who suffered a work-related accident in Davao City, said in a mix of Cebuano and Tagalog.

On February 5, 2025, the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) awarded four persons with work-related disabilities (PWRDs) a total of Php 190,000 worth of prostheses at the ECC Regional Extension Unit (REU) 12 office in General Santos City.
• Bernie Abarsolo received a Php 65,000 below-knee prosthesis following a right knee amputation due to a worksite accident.
