Dimples Romana honors husband and late dad

The Kapamilya actress' father died when she was 16.

"So to be honest, it's not an event I like to celebrate if not for my husband," she told reporters on the sidelines of the 50th anniversary event of Mega Prime Foods Inc. held at the Shangri-La The Fort, BGC.

"Boyet has become a father figure to me. Siya rin ang palaging nagpapagalit sa akin but he's also the one who loves us with all his heart. It's the same weekend so maybe it's a double celebration — as Father's Day and our 22nd wedding anniversary."

Dimples described her partner as a "proud househusband." She told The STAR, "My husband is the one who stays with our children, raises them day-to-day. I'm the one who is out, being able to do what I love to do — just acting and hosting."

She is grateful for her husband who has "zero insecurities and zero ego." "Ang ganda kasing panoorin na ang isang tatay ay nasa tahanan din at nagtataguyod din ng kanilang pamilya, tumutulong din sa amin," she said.
