Comelec: No heckling during debates

Heckling will not be allowed during debates relative to the upcoming midterm elections.

Under the Commission on Elections (Comelec)‘s new guidelines on conducting debates, fora and interviews promulgated on Feb.17, organizers must ensure a safe and controlled environment to instill a sense of professionalism.

"Implementation of protocols regarding security shall be strictly followed, hence, there shall be no heckling or violence during the event,” the Comelec stressed.
