Reform has lost three councillors since election 10 days ago

Reform UK has lost three of its councillors within a week of the local elections, with one facing possible disciplinary action for having stood in the first place.

Luke Shingler, who is in the armed forces and represents Nuneaton’s Galley Common in Warwickshire, is now sitting as an independent because his employment prohibits him from serving as a member of a political party. He announced the “mistake” days before the election took place but after the ballot had been printed, meaning his name appeared under the Reform banner.
