Reform leader Nigel Farage is making more money from recording video messages for a celebrity greetings service than he earns in his job as an MP.
The video service Cameo, which lets users buy birthday greetings from celebrities, has paid him more than £134,000 since he entered parliament. Analysis by The Observer suggests Farage has sent an estimated 2,500 video messages since winning his seat last July — equivalent to about eight a day. He can be paid to send birthday greetings or “silly inside jokes”.
