Pulse Polio National Immunization Day observed

Poonch: Pulse Polio National Immunization Day was observed across District Poonch with full administrative and health department participation to ensure maximum coverage of children in the age group of 0 to 5 years, despite adverse weather conditions.

The Pulse Polio campaign was formally inaugurated by the District Development Commissioner Poonch, Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, JKAS, at the Government Primary Health Centre Ajiote, an area close to the Line of Control.

The inauguration was held in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Poonch Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan and Block Medical Officer Mandi Dr. Reyaz Jan, where the DDC administered two drops of polio vaccine to a child, marking the official launch of the campaign.
