The Department of Journalismand Media Studies, University of Jammu, inaugurated a 10-day internship program today for around 140 students from Padma Shri Padma Sachdev (PSPS) Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.

The initiative aims to provide hands-on training in journalism and mass communication, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry experience.

‘The program was inaugurated with a welcome address by Prof. Garima Gupta, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of experiential learning in shaping the future of media professionals. She also acknowledged the support and vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai in initiating such impactful academic-industry collaborations.
