In view of forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to ensure hassle-free and peaceful observance of religious occasions and to facilitate mourners.
Besides DIG Police Rajiv Pandey, the meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, SSPs, officers of line departments and representatives of various associations of Shia community. Addressing the meeting, Div Com directed officers for repairing and macademization of roads in Shia dominated areas to ensure pothole-free routes for mourners’ procession.
