Senthil Balaji may get back minister berth, portfolios in cabinet reshuffle

V Senthil Balaji, who has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in a money-laundering case on Thursday, is likely to be sworn in as minister soon. Chief Minister MK Stalin has been hinting that there will be 'changes' in the state cabinet soon and there have been speculations that the CM was waiting for the release of Balaji to effect the reshuffle. Electricity and non-conventional energy development portfolios given to Thangam Thennarasu and prohibition and excise and molasses department handled by minister Muthusamy following Balaji's resignation in February may be given back to Balaji, sources said.
