Cultural panel plans art fests across major cities

ANDHRA Pradesh Creativity and Cultural Commission Chairperson Tejaswi Podapati on Saturday announced plans to conduct five to six State-level art festivals in Vijayawada, Rajamahendravaram, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and other cities, following the success of the Andhra Art Festival held recently in Rajamahendravaram.
Chairperson Tejaswi said the Commission is preparing proposals for Kuchipudi dance, folk arts, theatre arts and Carnatic music festivals to be organised in various regions. "We were surprised by the large turnout at the Andhra Art Festival in Rajamahendravaram," she told TNIE. She said she will soon brief Human Resources Minister Nara Lokesh and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu about the event's success.
