VISAKHAPATNAM District Collector MN Harendhira Prasad announced that the government has sanctioned additional financial assistance to complete incomplete houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
Acting on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's directive, the government issued GO Rt No 9, permitting extra funds for houses sanctioned to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Backward Classes (BCs), and Primitive Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
Prasad stated that 24,696 houses under PMAY Urban and Rural (Options I and II) are at various construction stages in the district.
