2022 police exam row: Disqualified constable aspirants seek grace marks

AROUND 82% of candidates were disqualified from the 2022 Andhra Pradesh Police Constable recruitment preliminary examination due to alleged errors in the test, sparking outrage among aspirants.
Backed by the AP Nirudyoga Youth Joint Action Committee (JAC), the candidates are demanding grace marks to address what they call an unjust elimination.
Key complaints include ambiguous questions, multiple correct answers not acknowledged in the answer key, and questions outside the prescribed syllabus.
The State government has remained silent, while a few aspirants have approached the High Court, seeking at least eight grace marks to qualify for subsequent physical tests. Disqualified aspirants like KP Siva Prasad from Krishna district and Lakshmana Rao from West Godavari have voiced their grievances, claiming that errors in the question paper cost them a chance to advance.
