Ramkumar-Saketh duo storms into semifinals

ONCE again the Indian players gave a brilliant display in the doubles segment as the duo of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth, the second seeds, and defending champions Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni, the third seeds, moved into the semifinals of the Chennai Open ATP Challenger on Thursday.
The duo of Nedunchezhiyan and Prashanth recorded a comfortable 6-2, 6-2 win in just over an hour against Zimbabwe's Courtney John Lock and Japan's Rio Noguchi. Ramkumar combined admirably with Myneni to have a smooth ride into the last four with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Egor Agafonov and Evgenii Tiurnev.
