Andhra Pradesh gears up for summer peak power demand

A high-level review meeting on Andhra Pradesh's power supply, chaired by Chief Secretary K Vijayanand on Wednesday, focused on electricity demand, supply, and preparedness for the upcoming summer season.
Vijayanand noted that on March 17, peak demand reached 12,983 MW, with 4,357 MU consumed by March 18. Forecasts predict peak demand of 12,990 MW and daily consumption between 218 and 259 MU in the coming months.
