Man ends life, kin blame usurious moneylenders

A 38-year-old man, R. Nasurullah, died by suicide in Gudiyatham, Vellore, on Sunday, allegedly due to harassment over repayment of a high-interest loan he had taken to construct a house.
The incident has sparked outrage among his relatives, who allege that pressure from usurious lenders drove him to take the extreme step.
According to police sources, the body of Nasurullah, a resident of Gudiyatham, was found on the outskirts of the city.
