HC Judges to Inspect Sites for Kurnool Bench

Law Minister Farooq confirms team's February 6 visit, says State govt intensified efforts to fulfil election promise

A team of Andhra Pradesh High Court judges will visit Kurnool on February 6 to inspect buildings for the proposed High Court Bench. Law and Minority Welfare Minister NMD Farooq confirmed the visit and said the government is expediting efforts to set up the bench.

Farooq said the judges would assess a building near Dinne Devarapadu in Kurnool mandal, currently under the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC). He added that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is taking special measures to fulfil his poll promise of establishing the bench to improve access to justice in the Rayalaseema region.
