Four SSCs Carry Out Skill Gap Analyses Across Multiple Districts

UNION Minister of State for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary on Monday confirmed that the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has established 36 Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) across the country in collaboration with industry partners.
He made the statement in the Lok Sabha in response to a query from Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, who sought information on the establishment and functioning of SSCs, particularly in AP.
The Minister stated that SSCs play a vital role in identifying skill gaps, defining competency standards, and conducting studies to align workforce skills with industry demands.
"SSCs help the government prepare a skilled labour force by providing crucial insights into emerging needs," he said.
