Proposed structure designed to span 70m across the river; to feature spillways & pathway
AS part of the Amrut project, the Mannarkkad Municipality in collaboration with the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has submitted a preliminary estimate to the Water Resources Department for the construction of a check dam across Kunthipuzha River.
The project aimed at ensuring an efficient supply of clean drinking water to urban areas during summer is estimated to cost ₹6.5 crore.
The estimate submitted to the Small-Scale Irrigation Department will undergo further scrutiny. Upon approval, a detailed estimate will be prepared paving the way for the tendering process.
