|July 24, 2025
NINE people are feared buried when an illegal mine near Jamunia River at Kesargarha under Baghmara Police Station in Dhanbad collapsed in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
There is no official confirmation of the incident or the fate of trapped persons yet.
Locals reported that 15 workers were in the mine at the time. The accident occurred because the weak pillars supporting the carbonaceous rock caused the rock to collapse.
