Directs officials to expand fruit orchards, ensure ryots’ inclusion under crop insurance schemes for fiscal growth
SPECIAL Chief Secretary SS Rawat on Thursday called for coordinated and strategic planning to improve the livelihoods of tribal farmers through sustainable agriculture and allied sectors. He stressed the need for a focused three-year action plan to strengthen farming practices and promote organic cultivation in agency areas.
Rawat chaired a review meeting at Padmapuram Gardens in Araku Valley, Alluri Sitarama Raju district, with officials from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, DRDA, Marketing departments, and the Coffee Board.
