Shah Lauds CRPF in Tackling Maoists, Restoring NE Peace

UNION Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday visited the Central Armed Police Forces (CRPF) headquarters and held a comprehensive review meeting with senior officers on the operations and administrative efficiency of the force.
According to officials, during the deliberations, the home minister lauded the role of the CRPF in tackling Naxalism and restoring peace and stability in the Northeastern states and Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, CRPF Director-General Anish Dayal Singh apprised the home minister about the various welfare schemes being implemented for the families of martyred jawans of the force, including compassionate appointments in the force.
