₹95.50 cr sewage treatment plant to be ready by Nov

CONSTRUCTION of the much-awaited Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) under the National River Conservation Plan (NRCP) in Rajahmundry is progressing rapidly and is scheduled for completion by November this year.
The ₹95.50 crore project aims to curb pollution in the River Godavari by treating municipal sewage before it enters the river. The Central Government sanctioned ₹53.06 crore, the State Government allocated ₹35.37 crore, and the Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) contributed ₹7.07 crore for the project.
Municipal Corporation Superintending Engineer Koteswararao told TNIE that 65 percent of the work has been completed.
