BJP state secretary Vinay Bidare said it was Swami Vivekananda who preached and popularised the history of the nation, its rich tradition, the Vedas and Upanishad in the All-Religion Conference at Chicago.
Participating in the walkathon organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha from the Gandhi statue to the taluk office as part of the 162nd birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda on Saturday morning, he said Narendra (Vivekananda's original name) ever since his childhood days was brilliant in learning along with meditation and knowledge and later preached his thoughts to the world, marching towards his goal of awakening
