Davangere Police Issue Clarification Over Teacher's Death

DAVANGERE Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth has issued a clarification regarding the incident in which a teacher jumped into the Tungabhadra river near Raghavendra Mantapa in Honnali.
"It is true that she jumped into the Tungabhadra river. However, it is not yet clear whether she died by suicide due to being trapped in a financial loan cycle. But it is confirmed that she had taken a loan of Rs 35 lakh to Rs 40 lakh from Tata Capital Finance in Shivamogga. As of now, there is no clarity on the circumstances that led t
