Nellai MLA's candidacy endorsed by prominent leaders, including incumbent chief Annamalai; Nadda may declare his election today
ENDING intense speculations for the past couple of weeks, BJP's Assembly party leader and Tirunelveli MLA Nainar Nagenthran is all set to become the state president of the BJP, replacing K Annamalai. Party sources said he will take charge on Saturday.
Sixty-four-year-old Nagenthran was the only person to file nomination for the election to the post on Friday. His nomination was endorsed by all prominent leaders of the BJP, including incumbent chief Annamalai. The notification inviting nomination for the post was issued on Thursday.
