Airtel Adds 1.65 Million Users in Jan; Vi, BSNL Lose Subscribers

BHARTI AIRTEL, country's second-largest telecom service provider, gained the maximum number of 1.65 million customers in January 2025, followed by Reliance Jio, which added 0.68 million.
As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Vodafone Idea, third-largest telco, continued to lose subscribers, losing 1.33 million users in January. Its subscriber count dropped to 205.92 million, with its market share falling to 17.89%. BSNL also saw a decline, losing 369,665 users and ending the month with 91.57 million subscribers
