Murmu, ex-PM Indira were denied entry into temples

WRITER Kalegowda Nagavara said that, "We live in a strange nation where powerful leaders, President of India Droupadi Murmu and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, were not allowed to enter inside the temple."
Speaking after releasing a book 'Dalitha Janapada' penned by writer Mogalli Ganesh during a programme organised by University of Mysore and Mysuru University Researchers Association at EMMRC auditorium on Monday, Nagavara said that at Jagannath Temple, President Murmu was denied entry as she is a dalit while then PM Indira Gandhi was denied entry as she had married to Feroze Gandhi.
