'Harnessing power of entrepreneurship is only way to reduce poverty'
INFOSYS co-founder N R Narayana Murthy underscored the pivotal role entrepreneurs play in driving social and economic transformation.
Inaugurating the Mysuru Entrepreneurship Forum by the Bherunda Foundation here on Friday, Murthy emphasised that entrepreneurship is the key to eradicating poverty and fostering sustainable development.
Recounting his academic journey from Paris University, where he studied various economic systems like capitalism, socialism, libertarianism, and communism, Murthy said: "The only way to reduce poverty, if not eradicate it, is by harnessing the power of entrepreneurship. These innovative minds generate ideas that translate into jobs, wealth, and taxes, which the government can use for public welfare."
