HASSAN Cooperative Milk Union Limited (HMUL), the second-largest milk union in the state, has been operating profitably for decades, asserted H D Revanna, the chairman of HAMUL, during a press conference held on Monday.

After presiding over the general body meeting of the Hassan Milk Union, he revealed that HAMUL recorded a profit of Rs 22.29 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, while simultaneously safeguarding the interests of milk producers by offering the highest procurement price of Rs 34.50 per litre in the state.

HD Revanna, who also serves as MLA for Holenarasipur, stressed that HAMUL boasts the lowest administrative expenses at a mere 1.69 per cent, compared to the maximum of 2 per cent observed in other unions across the state.
