STUDENTS and parents of Government English Medium School in Daddalkadu village of Bantwal held a demonstration demanding the government to renew Shree Durga Charitable Trust's adoption of the school.

The students' strength in the school had increased from 28 in 2015-16 to 1,040 after the Trust adopted the school. The Trust took several measures to improve the quality of teaching like appointing guest lecturers, launching spoken English and computer classes and deploying vehicles to ferry the students from nearby villages.
