Chyavanprash Can Combat Malnutrition

A pilot initiative by the AYUSH department has shown promising results in tackling malnutrition among children through the use of Chyavanprash, a traditional Ayurvedic health supplement.
The project, implemented in Dakshina Kannada district, targeted 403 malnourished children aged between 3 and 6 years. Of these, 28 were classified as severely malnourished and 375 as moderately malnourished.
