VHP: It's a deliberate, orchestrated attempt

THE Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has strongly condemned what it terms a "deliberate and orchestrated attempt" to defame the revered religious centre of Dharmasthala in the backdrop of an SIT probe into the mass burial, calling such actions an unpardonable crime.

In a joint statement, Deepak Raj Gopal, VHP's regional president, and Dr. M.B. Puranik, former regional president of the organisation, expressed grave concern over recent efforts by "vested interests and anti-Hindu forces" to malign the sanctity and reputation of Dharmasthala by spreading false propaganda. These efforts, the organization said, are aimed at undermining both the temple's honour and faith of the Hindu community.

They insisted on the necessity of a thorough and transparent investigation into the heinous murder of Sowjanya in 2012. The organisation advocated for the most severe penalties for offenders and reiterated its unwavering support for impartial movements striving for justice in this particular case.
