BJP Launches Muslim Outreach, Set to Supply Aid to 32L Families on Eid

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the BJP is set to reach out to 32 lakh needy Muslim families across the country with help kits, named 'Saughat-e-Modi', on the occasion of Eid and other upcoming religious events.

The BJP will launch the outreach through its Minority Morcha which held a meeting here on Sunday.

"We have planned to deliver Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'saughat' (gift) to 32 lakh needy Muslim families on the holy occasion of Eid, which is likely to fall on March 31, subject to moon sighting," BJP Minority Morcha president Jamal Siddiqui told this newspaper.

The Morcha will also host Eid Milan ceremonies at the district levels along with distribution of 'Saughat-e-Modi' kits. Siddiqui said 32,000 office-bearers of the BJP Minority Morcha will carry out this campaign.
