ONCE a bustling port city of the Indus Valley Civilisation, Lothal, 80 km from Ahmedabad, will soon anchor the monumental National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC), spotlighting India's rich nautical legacy.
Backed by a ₹4,500-crore investment, the NMHC is coming up over 375 acres allocated by the Gujarat government. Interweaving history with innovation, the complex will feature a Lothal Mini Recreation to revive Harappan architecture and lifestyle in vivid detail.
Driving deeper into experience-driven storytelling, the museum will host four immersive theme parks — Memorial Theme Park, Maritime & Navy Theme Park, Climate Theme Park, and Adventure & Amusement Theme Park — each offering a distinctive window into India's seafaring saga.
