Days after tigress attack, officials flout Ranthambore curbs

TWO days after a ranger was killed by a tigress in a restricted zone at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, senior forest officials were caught taking their personal guests on a jeep safari through the same sensitive area in violation of the closure orders in place for public safety.
"A violation has occurred; a notice will be issued to the driver," Ranthambore range officer Ashwini Pratap said on Wednesday.
