NH widening work: Protests intensify for flyover at Pariyaram Embate Jn

THE action committee is set to intensify its ongoing strike at Embate in Pariyaram demanding urgent measures to resolve traffic congestion on the national highway.

The protest, on its 22nd day on Saturday, centres around the need for a flyover in the area. MPs, including John Brittas, have petitioned to the NHAI to address the issue, yet no resolution has been reached.

For over two years, the action committee has been persistently campaigning for a flyover at the Embate Junction, citing it as the only viable solution to the region's highway travel challenges. Despite numerous appeals to state and Union ministers, local representatives, and the NHAI, no favourable decision has been made. Frustrated by the inaction, the committee has vowed to intensify its protests.
