Siddhagiri Hospital Unveils India's 1st Zeiss Pentero 800S Microscope

In a groundbreaking development for rural healthcare, Siddhagiri Advanced Neuro Science Centre and Research Unit (SANSCAR), Kaneri in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) has become the first institution in India to introduce the state-of-the-art Zeiss Pentero 800S neuro microscope.
This advanced technology is expected to revolutionize complex brain and spine surgeries and provide world-class treatment to patients in rural areas.
Noted Neurosurgeon and Medical Director of SANSCAR Dr. Shivashankar Marajakke highlighted that the Zeiss Pentero 800S has a 4K-3D camera system, offering high-definition, three-dimensional visuals during operations. This feature allows both the lead surgeon and their assistant to use the microscope simultaneously, significantly improving surgical efficiency, he said.
