124 persons admitted in Kalaburagi branch died due to heart attack in the last 6 months
NUMBER of deaths due to heart attack at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research's Kalaburagi branch are more compared to Bengaluru branch in the last 6 months.
In-charge of Kalaburagi branch of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Dr Veeresh Patil stated that 57,839 people took treatment at Kalaburagi branch in the last 6 months (33,976 male, 22183 female and 1,780 children) as out-patients from January to June end this year. 4,264 persons were admitted to the wards for the treatment and of them 4,032 persons have been discharged so far.
In all, 124 persons admitted to the Kalaburagi Branch of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology have died due to heart attack in the last six months. Highest number of deaths were reported in June this year. 29 people died due to heart attack in June, followed by 23 deaths in May, 21 deaths each in March and April, 19 deaths in February and 11 deaths in January, said Dr Veeresh Patil.
